| I have a KDA 6700 TA generator with ATS. Every few days the generator starts even though there is no power cut. It runs for about 1.3 hours before it stops. It usually happens overnight. Can you tell me how to stop this from happening...? it is very annoying! |

2 possibilities
You have accidentaly set the self test and this is happening as required and starting the machine. check if you have done this
Otherwise if the grid supply drops in voltage during the night this can drop below the machine set point and autostart the machine. I thought there was a setting for this on the ATS set up but apparently not!! The factory did suggest they may be able to supply a digital panel with a wider tolerance to allow for this

The generator is sensing an over voltage (going above 253V) if you are on a 240V supply. Use an auto-transformer on the sensing wires (the THIN wires) on the AC MAINS IN terminals. |

Nick may well be right. the machine will auto start on over OR under voltage. you need to try and watch the panel and see what the incoming utility supply is when the machine starts.
An over voltage start is easier to sort and again Nick is on the right track
