| My KDE11SS will not start. It goes through the usual preheat and engages the starter motor for only 1 second, which is not enough to start the engine. Battery is good.

| OK, generator will start if battery is charged by a battery charger, hence I presume I have an issue with the battery charging circuit. The voltage read from the display only reads 12.1 - 12.5Volts. I would have though it would be 13.8 or 14.4Volts when running. What battery voltage should I read whilst the generator is running please? |

| Whilst running it will probably show between 12.4 and 13.2 volts unless it is very flat. With the battery charged will it stand a few days and still start, is the battery just past it?
Is there an output from the alternator?
Does the voltage shown on the screen increase once the machine is running. If it stays just the same then for sure its not charging and needs the alternator sorting
